Welcome Day

The Welcome Day encompasses several activities that will precede the IST’25 and kick off the activities. It includes the traditional event for Newcomer & Early Career Researchers.

The Newcomer & Early Career Researcher Session welcomes the researchers coming for the first time to the IST, as well as emerging researchers, to connect with the dynamic sustainability transitions community. This session is designed to foster meaningful connections, explore interdisciplinary perspectives, and deepen engagement with sustainability research and practice. Organized in partnership with the Network of Early career researchers in Sustainability Transitions (NEST), a chapter of the Sustainability Transitions Research Network (STRN), this event offers an inclusive space for early career researchers to share insights, find collaborators, and gain guidance on career development within the field.
