I obtained an upper second class BA (hons) in Geography from the University of Nottingham in 2004. I then joined the Groundwork VPA programme before obtaining work with the Environment Agency. Subsequent responsibilities and positions include climate change strategy development as Climate Change Coordinator for the Tees Valley Climate Change Partnership, and more recently leading Yorkshire Water’s carbon accounting, carbon mitigation and climate change planning and response as Lead Advisor for Climate Change and Carbon Management. I am currently doing a PhD at Leeds University, looking at the impact of the co-evolution of government-regulator-industry relations on low carbon innovation in the UK water industry. My supervisors are Tim Foxon and Andy Gouldson.
