Short biography

Having completed my PhD in the field of history of technology (Eindhoven University of Technology, 2009), I am currently conducting research on the implementation and diffusion of wind turbine engine technology for the generation of electricity in Greece. The main aim of my research is to analyse such developments using the theoretical framework of Strategic Niche Management as a guiding research tool. I am focusing on an analysis of the initial phases of experimentation and aim to assess the importance of these experiments for the further diffusion of wind turbine engine technology in Greece.
Specifically, the output of the project will be:
– a literature review on Transitions and Strategic Niche Managment – State of the Art, to be published in a Greek scientific journal (Νεύσις,http://genesis.ee.auth.gr/dimakis/Neusis/Neusis.html).
– Furthermore, in cooperation with Greek PhD students, we are writing an article on the implementation and diffusion of wind turbine engine technology in Greece using the theoretical framework of the SNM theory as a guiding tool for our analysis. Our aims is to submit this article on a peer reviewed international scientific journal.
