Olufolahan Osunmuyiwa is a current PhD researcher at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Prior to her arrival at IVM, Olufolahan was a columnist at the African Newspapers, Publishers of the Nigerian Tribune. She was also a research assistant at the International Centre at Eastern Mediterranean University, Northern Cyprus. Her MSc studies focused on Transnational Corporations and Corporate Responsibility: Environmental Law and Human Rights Damage in Nigeria. Her general research interests are renewable energy policy, environmental policy, Corporate Social Responsibility, Diplomatic Practice and International Law. She holds a Bachelor degree in International Relations from Covenant University (Nigeria), an M.A in International Relations with High Honours from Eastern Mediterranean University (North Cyprus. Her current PhD research is on Energy transition with specific focus on the level of renewable energy uptake, governance and the policy implications for Nigeria. This she examines from a Multi-level socio-technical perspective and rentier perspective in a bid to expand the current literature on the MLP with regards to the global south and importantly rentier states.
