STRN Steering Group Election
Call for (Self-)Nominations
The yearly elections of the STRN steering group (SG) are upcoming and we are looking for people to join us for the upcoming period from Summer 2022 to 2024. SG members provide advice to the Board and also take on specific tasks such as organizing workshops, leading thematic or working groups, or maintaining exchanges with other research communities. Every STRN scholar is eligible to apply, including former/current SG members. In this election cycle, we have 5 seats that need to be renewed. One current member is stepping down, the other four are up for re-election. However, every year, two spots are reserved for new candidates (one senior and one junior (i.e. max 3 years after PhD)).
In the composition of the SG, we strive for a broad variety of views and people (e.g. in terms of research approaches and background, gender, nationality, career stage). In order to increase our diversity, we particularly encourage senior scholars and scholars from the Global South to apply.
We ask each candidate to provide a brief (about 1 page) profile to present themselves including current affiliation, career stage (senior or junior (i.e. max 3 years after PhD), research interests, list of relevant publications, ideas on how to strengthen STRN, and vision for the development of the field and the network.
