IST`25 Travel Support and Complimentary Conference Tickets

To support a more inclusive and globally diverse IST 2025 conference, STRN, in close collaboration with the local IST organizers, is offering needs-based financial support to early career researchers from around the world.

We are pleased to provide:

• 13 travel grants of €1000 each
  (Three generously sponsored by Elsevier in connection with our journal, Environmental Innovation and Societal Transitions.)
• 20 complimentary conference tickets
  (Fee waivers for the IST 2025 registration.)

Applicants may request just a complimentary ticket, or both a complimentary ticket and a travel grant.

To apply, you must:

• Be an early career researcher (PhD candidate or PhD completed within the last 8 years),
• Be the accepted presenting author of an abstract at IST 2025.

We prioritize applicants based in countries with structurally weaker financial positions, particularly from the Global South and East, to help broaden participation and strengthen geographic diversity.

How Does It Work?

• Apply here
• Travel grants are disbursed as reimbursements after successful participation and presentation at the conference.
• If selected for a complimentary ticket, you will receive a registration code.

Important: If you apply for financial support, please do not register for IST 2025 until you receive a decision from us.

Timeline

• Applications open: Thursday, March 20th
• Deadline to apply: Monday, March 31st
• Notification of decisions: Tuesday, April 15th
